MEDICAL DISTRESS

If the person seems to be having a medical crisis please call 911 and ask for an ambulance. If possible, stay with them until help arrives. Describe what you saw and why you think they needed medical intervention.


MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS

When an individual is exhibiting behavior that leads you to believe that they might be a danger to self or other.

Psychiatric Emergency Response Team (PERT)
What: Provides emergency assessment and referral for individuals in behavioral health crisis. Pairs licensed mental health clinicians with uniformed law enforcement officers/deputies.

MOBILE CRISIS RESPONSE TEAM

Mobile Crisis Response Teams (MCRT) provide in-person support to anyone, anywhere, experiencing a mental health, drug, or alcohol-related crisis.  

MCRT dispatches behavioral health experts to emergency calls instead of law enforcement, when appropriate, with teams made up of clinicians, case managers, and peer support specialists.
